That’s a common question! Yes, natural stone can be heavy, but at 14x16cm, this particular shade is not excessively heavy. A properly installed, standard ceiling junction box is absolutely sufficient to support this pendant light. We recommend a qualified electrician for a secure installation.

Absolutely! The E27 base is a common and versatile standard, which is why we chose it. It is perfectly compatible with a wide range of E27 dimmable LED or vintage filament bulbs. The dimming functionality, of course, will depend on whether you have a dimmable bulb and a compatible wall dimmer switch installed. Using a dimmable vintage-style bulb makes the stone glow beautifully.

Cleaning is very simple. A dry or slightly damp micro-fiber cloth is the best way to dust the shade. The most important thing is to never use acidic or harsh chemical cleaners, as they can etch the stone surface. Travertine is a calcium-based stone, so treats it a bit like fine porcelain. With just a little care, the stone will develop a beautiful patina over time.

The light source is an E27 bulb base, and we do not include a bulb, so the lit color temperature is entirely up to the bulb you choose! You can opt for a warm-white (2700K-3000K) bulb for that cozy wabi-sabi look, or a cooler (4000K+) bulb for task lighting. The inner surface of the travertine has a beautiful warm tone which softens the output regardless of the bulb, but the starting point is defined by your bulb selection.
